The feather lifting the shoe exaggerates its ridiculously low weight (crazy light) and the body copy is a play on the famous quote "No pain, no gain". The idea was to take a service and completely overhaul its marketing campaign in bold and exciting ways. The big idea was to merge Finnair's jets in motion with nature and give the viewer the slightest sense that Finnair is a more environmentally friendly airliner and almost a part of the global ecosystem itself. The tagline "With You All The Way" refers to the superior personal care given to you by Finnair's staff, from the moment you book your ticket until the end of your trip. In this case, "push" references the awesome power of the ever-expanding universe's. The life cycle of our world was arranged into a series of designs with a focus on typographic treatment. The project was presented as a video for visitors at the year-end show. The universe is ever-expanding, pushing the boundaries of its existence, the limits of its energy. It cannot be described by one word alone. It is awe-inspiring yet terrifying, cold yet warm, beautiful yet depressing. The lights in our sky can be the flickering remnants of worlds lost millions of years ago or the wonderful sign of new life being created. I try to picture the vast darkness of our universe and the possibilities within.
